The story of sage: the thinkers' drink
In the Middle Ages, the monks in the monasteries used to grow sage and drink it before their sessions of meditation and writing. They called it "the sage of minds," and believed it protected the memory from forgetting.
The strange thing is that modern studies found that sage really does help in treating memory loss in Alzheimer's patients.
